NEW YORK & BROOKLYN XMAS LIGHTS
New York City & Brooklyn
New York at Christmas is a glowing wonderland. This unique tour combines the best lights of Brooklyn and Manhattan and immerses you in the city’s joyous holiday celebration. We’ll start with lunch at Le Rivage Restaurant in the theatre district. After lunch, we’ll meet our local guide, Eliot Niles. We’ll stop at Rockefeller Center to watch the skaters gliding on the ice rink in front of the world’s most famous Christmas tree. We’ll stop at world famous St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and see the delightful Christmas displays in the windows of Saks Fifth Avenue. Along the way, we’ll discuss holiday histories, myths, and traditions, along with fun-filled holiday tidbits. Then, we’ll travel to Brooklyn to view the remarkable over-the-top holiday displays and decorations of the stately homes of Dyker Heights – an upscale neighborhood that was featured on The Learning Channel’s show, Crazy Christmas Lights. Imagine thousands of dazzling white and colored lights, 12-foot snowmen, reindeer, spinning angels, Holiday carols, and much, much more at this genuine, homegrown, over-the-top Brooklyn celebration. In Dyker Heights you'll get off the coach to join your guide for a leisurely stroll along several streets.
