MARYLAND CRAB FEAST & TOUR
Port Deposit & Havre de Grace, Maryland
Our day begins alongside the Susquehanna River in Port Deposit, MD (the narrowest town in the USA). Our local guide will give us a fascinating look at this most unusual town constructed of Port Deposit granite. The bulk of the older buildings line the main street and the single-side street is built in the narrow space between the granite bluffs and the Susquehanna River. We’ll view the unique architecture before going to nearby Charlestown for a crab feast at the historic Wellwood Club on the Northeast River. Enjoy all of the Chesapeake Bay Crabs you can eat (also fried chicken, potato salad, corn on the cob, fruit, soda and tea included). After lunch, we’ll visit nearby Havre de Grace for a tour of the town and a visit to the Concord Point Lighthouse, overlooking the point where the Susquehanna River flows into the Chesapeake Bay. We’ll stop at a local favorite, Bomboy’s, for those of you who would like to buy some homemade candy and ice cream before heading home.
